I have so many memories of my father welding in our garage. After coming to him with an idea for a project, this was based on a photo of him teaching me his skill.

As an only child, my father and I have always bonded over more “masculine” interests like cars. Using pink instead of a traditionally masculine color, I wanted this piece to dance on the line between femininity and masculinity.
